Meet the Fort Lauderdale Team Behind Mason Remodeling Co Fort Lauderdale
Isaac Pruett has built the Fort Lauderdale crew the only way that makes sense in South Florida: slow, deliberate, and with people who actually answer when something goes sideways. We’re not a rotating cast of subcontractors. The folks who tear out your old bathroom on Tuesday are the same ones setting the vanity on Thursday. Every person you’ll read about below is background-checked, identity-verified, and shows up in a clean marked uniform with a photo ID badge at your door. You’ll know their name and see their photo before they ever ring the bell. That’s the Threshold Standard, and it’s how we’ve operated since 2004 under the Threshold Group family of home-service companies.

Our People

Marcus D. – Lead Technician, Bathroom & Kitchen Remodeling
Marcus has been running remodel crews in Broward County for 14 years, the last six of them with Mason Remodeling Co Fort Lauderdale. He holds a Florida Certified Residential Contractor credential and specializes in wet-area work: shower pans, waterproofing systems, and the Schluter strip – the metal trim that seals the edge where tile meets flooring – that most homeowners never notice until it’s done wrong. Marcus is the guy who reads the waterproofing manufacturer’s spec sheet twice before opening a single bucket. Off the clock, he rebuilds old Triumph motorcycles in his garage in Wilton Manors and will talk your ear off about British torque specs if you let him.
Elena R. – Senior Installer, Cabinetry & Millwork
Elena joined the Fort Lauderdale crew in 2018 and came up through finish carpentry, which means she’s the one who catches a 1/8-inch reveal problem before it becomes a punched drywall problem. Her specialty is hanging cabinetry – KraftMaid and Wellborn are the lines she installs most – and making crown moulding die into the cabinet face so the seams disappear. Before Mason, Elena spent five years doing high-end condo build-outs along the Galt Ocean Mile, where tight elevator schedules and stricter HOA rules taught her to plan every cut in advance. She grew up in Hollywood, Florida, and still insists the best Cuban coffee in Broward is at a little window on Dixie Highway she won’t name publicly.
Danielle S. – Service Coordinator & Client Contact
If you call Mason Remodeling Co Fort Lauderdale, there’s a strong chance Danielle is the person who picks up. She’s been our service coordinator since 2019 and handles everything from scheduling walkthroughs to walking you through the written price you’ll receive before any work starts. Danielle keeps the calendar sane and the homeowners informed – she sends the crew’s names and photos before every visit, per our standard, and confirms the start window the afternoon before. She’s a Fort Lauderdale native, a Florida Atlantic grad, and the reason our projects don’t double-book. When she’s not at the office, she’s usually paddleboarding on the Intracoastal or arguing about which Fort Lauderdale taco spot deserves more attention.
Tre J. – Apprentice & Finishing Specialist
Tre is two years into his apprenticeship with the Mason Fort Lauderdale crew, working under Marcus and Elena on everything from demo to final paint touch-ups. He’s already earned his OSHA 10 certification and is working toward his Florida contractor’s license, logging hours on bathroom remodels and whole-home renovations across the city. Tre’s the one doing the painstaking work at the end of a job – caulk lines, paint edges, the small stuff that separates a finished room from a room that looks almost finished. He’s from Lauderhill, plays in a weekend soccer league at Mills Pond Park, and has a habit of asking twice if you’re happy with something before he packs up his tools. We encourage that.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Mason Remodeling Co Fort Lauderdale location is independently owned and operated, but we all hold to one set of rules. Before any work begins, you get a written price. Not a verbal estimate, not a handshake, not a “we’ll figure it out later.” A number, on paper, that doesn’t change because we found an extra stud or a surprise vent. Every project comes with a written guarantee stating exactly what’s covered, what’s excluded, and for how long – 365 days from the completion date, in plain terms. If something fails within that year, we send a crew back at no charge. No dispute process, no fine print, no conditions. And when someone arrives, they arrive the way Marcus, Elena, Tre, and every technician does: uniformed, badged, background-checked, and introduced to you by name and photo before the door opens. Call us at (754) 354-3720 to schedule your free estimate, and you’ll meet them yourself.
